Candidate Profiles in Alphabetical Order

 

 All candidates support the Budget and the two high school reconfiguration with identical activities, clubs & teams.

 

David Aronow is a life long resident of Sachem, married to a life long resident of Sachem and father of 3 school age children. He graduated Dowling College and owns a printing company. He is an active member of the South Shore Youth organization. He and Mike Botti are running as a team.

 

Mike Botti is a life long resident of Sachem married to a life long resident of Sachem and father of 2 school age children. He graduated Rutgers University and owns a wholesale food distribution company in Ronkonkoma. He is an active member of the South Shore Youth organization and has had past involvement with the Suffolk County Police Youth League and Little League. He and David Aronow are running as a team.

 

Kevin Delaney is a 20 year resident of Sachem, married and father of 2 Sachem graduates. He did not provide his educational background. He works for the Department of Mental Health. Mr. Delaney is the current School Board President and has served two terms.

 

Anthony Falco is a 35 year resident of Sachem, married and father of 4 Sachem graduates. He did not provide his educational background. He is a retired detective. Mr. Falco has served on the Board for 19 years including 5 years as president and 2 years as vice president. He has been active in SYAG for 31 years and served on SYAG’s board for 21 years.

 

Lori Fontana did not mention how long she was a resident of Sachem, her marital status or if her children still attend Sachem schools. She works for an architectural firm and is preparing to become an architect. She serves on the Suffolk County PTA Council and has been very involved with Sachem PTAs, She has taken educational and legal courses to improve her school activity. Ms Fontana has actively worked with legislators and lobbied in Albany to improve education and state funding.

Steve Hellreich is a 16 year resident of Sachem, married and father of 2 school age children. He has a law degree from St John’s and did not mention his employment. Mr. Hellrich is an active member of the PTA and served on the executive board. He currently is part of South’s Building Leadership Team. He also served on  Tecumseh's and Sagamore's BLTs. He was part of the original reconfiguration team and currently serves on the transition team to help ease the students’ transition in to new schools.

 

Joseph Maro is a 25 year resident of Sachem, married and father of 2 school age children. He graduated Niagara University and owns a title company. He is an active member of the Sachem East Touchdown Club, Knights of Columbus and Lions Club. Mr. Marrow is funding his own campaign so he can remain independent if elected.

 

Linda Rapisardi is a 26 year resident of Sachem, married, mother and grandmother. She did not provide her educational background. She is a social worker. Ms Rapisardi is a current board member and has served 10 years on the Sachem Advisory Council. She is involved in the Gate Program and has been involved with SYAG, Marching Band and ice hockey. She works with numerous groups to help troubled children and is an active participant in St Joseph’s single parent program.
