Am I mistaken, isn't 9th period the "extra help" period. My child has a teacher who only offers am extra help, being a working parent I cannot get her there at 6:30, I leave at 6.....

At North there is always a teacher available during 9th period for extra help in a subject. It may not be your child's teacher but a teacher is there to assist all students who need extra help in that particular subject. Check to see if East has same "policy".

Some Samoset Middle school teachers offer extra help in the Morning. Most sports kids take advantage of that extra help session.

I always brought my child in for extra help. I don't expect the district to pay for busing. The Middle schools or at least Seneca doesn't give the option to have it in the morning even if the parent is willing to drop the student off.

There are multiple North teachers who offer morning extra help as well. These teachers offer help whenever the student is available- morning or after school. Transportation is up to the student/parent.

The problem is that there is no early bus for middle school anymore. There is always a club bus after school, so most teachers can only offer it then. I agree, I do wish it was offered early.

Can Someone tell me why the Sachem School district will not alow Teachers to offer extra help to The students before School as they have in the past? If the teacher is willing to give there time why should the district dictate when they can do it?
