“We also determined that district officials sought the proper competition for the items, properly initiated and approved the purchase orders before making the purchases, and verified the receipt of goods and/or services,” the audit says.

I was under the impression that District Office was supposed to be part of Samoset Middle when the expansion began? At least that's what the plans indicated. No one mentioned what was supposed to happen to the Old District office.

Preacher Lady were you there during the re-config? They ran out of money paying for that monster on the hill.

I was not there during the reconfig. However I work for a Concrete Corporation with a Masonry Division and we bid on the plans. I can only imagine how they wasted and continue to waste our money.

The old admin building being vacated has been turned into a source of revenue so lets stop our complaining and snippy comments and say good job boe. Unless perhaps you want to bit#h and complain enough that the scta walks away from the deal leaving the admin building zoned for a school worthless, unused, and a cost instead of $.

Zoning can be changed and buildings can be SOLD.
is the SCTA paying a "fair" market value price for the use of the building? those are the issues that need to be faced and not your SCTA apologetic view.

To the person who suggested I move to Brentwood, Longwood or CI. Why should I move? Maybe because you can not handle the fact that the BOE spends tax payer monies with reckless abandon. It's high time that people like you stop drinking the BOE's Kool Aid. It can stunt your growth! and warp your thinking.

How was the rent determined? Was an independent real estate apprasial used and are the teachers paying fair market value for this building. Plus why wasnt the district notified that this was happening?
