 Post subject: Schumer Proposes Amnesty
PostPosted: Fri Apr 30, 2010 6:39 pm
Did anyone catch todays article in The Times? Schumer is the architect of the Democrats Immigration proposal. Illegals would ahve to admit they brok the law, pay afine, ahve a background check and then they become legal in 8 years!

Direct quote from the Times "Mr. Schumer hailed his approach as a way to combine border security and improvements in the American work force while providing a chance for millions of people living illegally in the United States to gain legal status and pay taxes." Nice of Schumer to worry about his constituents!

All taxpaying Americans should vote Schumer out for not working in their best interest.

and we hardly need illegal aliens anymore to "do the work that the Americans will not." This was preposterous then and it is preposterous now. Just recently, 300 illegal were let go and instantly, 300 American citizens signed on to the jobs. This was all just a ruse designed to win votes and homogenize the citizenry of this country. Too many folks were getting too smart for the government what with computers and all and they had a hard time keeping their treacherous shenanigans under wraps with everyone watching.

Look at where this whole plot got us. So many states are bankrupt, including NY because of all the money spent on illegals without a return and what is even worse, the borders are wide open and the drug wars are spilling over into our country.

Now what? Can any of you geniuses come up with a solution? I hope it is a more intelligent solution than we have been getting so far from these stupid politicians..

Just don't yell at Chucky Schumer for this idea of amnesty. It is very close to what Bush and McCain wanted. But amnesty really doesn't solve the problem and I will tell you exactly why.

Most illegal aliens don't want to be on the books. They are working for the cash not to pay taxes.

Now you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that the same goes for employers that hire illegals. They are hiring illegals to avoid paying taxes and insurance. They avoid paying payroll taxes. These taxes include social security, Medicare, MTA. The main insurance costs they are looking to avoid is workmans compensation cost. How much are they trying to save. Let me give you an idea what a legitimate business has to pay in social taxes and insurance for an individual per every $100 paid an employee:

Social security 7.5% or $7.50
medicare approx. 1% or 1.00
MTA approx .5% or .50
work comp for laborer 9% or $9.00

This means that for a legal worker an emoloyer must pay an additional minimum of $18.00 per $100 paid to an legal employee. That doesn't even include regualer health insurance, retirement or other administrative and payroll costs. So, if the illegal worker works 250 days for $100 per day the employer hiring him saves $4,500 per employee.

The illegal saves money in contributions to social security, medicare and regular taxes.

The bottom line is that the illegal worker and the employer hiring them do want to be legal. So, is any kind of anmesty really going to fix the problem? The answer is no, because a lot of them simply don't want to be on the 'radar screen'.

I think we all know amnesty or no amnesty the illegals standing on the corner for work will not disappear nor will the employers that are exploiting them and cheating on their taxes.

Unfortunately Chucky is our Senator so he is the one I'll yell at for proposing amnesty.
