When it comes to Hypocrisy, and the definition of New York Official Misconduct by State Actors, I believe the "Subject Title" above sums up the explanation of the true Definition.

A few years back NY, CT, & NJ decided to sue the Western Power industries for contaminating our states by Acid Rain from their opacity (emission) pollution. This case is still pending today. Yet, the audacity of this frivolous suit comes at the expense of the tax payers for a claim that our own industries, especially the power & energy industry in particular is more guilty here on the east coast for defecating in our own back yards while the corporate & political fingers are pointing else where ultimately blaming others for New York's own misconduct of pollution by illegal dumping & burning radioactive materials out of landfill incinerators located on the site of extremely contaminated landfills that were never re-mediated where illegal dumping occurred for decades before the true discoveries. What's more heinous? These same waste products are burned as fuel out of Long Island's Power Plants, even having allowable waste material as back ground in the tanker/barge shipments of crude #6/bunker oil delivered far surpassing the toxic emissions of coal. To add insult to injury, the power & energy industry here tries to cover all of this up by claiming that more natural gas is used. (Sour Gas is just as poisonous) The only time gas is used, is when the cost is less than oil or in the winter when there is no real peak electricity demand. Waste Oil is free, while deregulation allows these facilities to operate on the honor system like the latest Peanut Butter Factory Salmonella outbreak. Deregulation is the definition of NO true independent test analysis or enforcement of DOL Public/Employee Safety laws that various unions failed to follow up on, as well as any real environmental enforcement agency who like LIPA does not have proper personnel who have expert knowledge of what to look for. Instead, Whitewashing has occurred as a pandemic implicating health, malfeasance by our bureaucracy, and the demise of our overall economy.

More evidence? See the case wins or multiple injuries, illnesses, & deaths of employees working for the power & energy industry who are shuffled around so they can't be properly tracked, as well as the infertility rates of these employees, spousal cancers & multiple miscarriages, as well as their offspring's/children's various disabilities or defects. There is less problems in Nuclear Power Plants than fossil-fueled, whether coal, crude oils/waste oils & gas. That's the truth. Call the ATSDR/CDC & demand a public health assessment starting from the inside and work toward the outside community, & then people will be able to truly attribute the real cause of various problems that could have been avoided if our official representatives were actually honest at all, instead of intimidated & manipulated just like everything else.

Crude oil alone is a harsh product but to burn "waste oil" will just add insulate to injury. Who is "testing" the wast material? Anything could be in that stuff and the employees could be getting into stuff that no one should be exposed to. I guess more free electric for LIPA while people get sick. It is time to get the Coast Guard for the ships/barges and DEC and DOT to check the trucks that enter a residential roadway to get to the plant/plants.

Dear Guest 1, You are 100% correct. Every agency local, state & federal were supposed to be following up, especially the Coast Guard. However, here on Long Island throughout New York State there seems to be an elusive jurisdictional guessing game. Most of the problem seems to fall back onto the shoulders of the DEC, especially Region 1 on Long Island. They have been in collusion with the Super Power (Oil, Power & Energy Industry). Nobody has been truly Independently testing these fuels that are highly contaminated. Even the Fuel Oil purchaser has highly warned me of this danger that implicates employees exposed to these hazardous materials, let alone the waste oil that is trucked in through residential neighborhoods, as well as power plant fly-ash trucked out through these same roads further implicating where children reside & play. It has been left to the Honor system thanks to Deregulation, just like the Peanut Butter factory who are running their own tests & still knowingly let out contaminated peanut paste w/Salmonella. However, heavy metal, chemicals, & radioactive contamination has seemed to been disregarded as no big deal. You are right, & this issue has been reiterated by myself & others very adversely effected, some now dead, children disabled, spouses suffering yet nothing has changed correctly for any proper safety procedure, even with suggestions to help minimize the liability, at minimal expense.
